Configuration also reduces operating costs
As of this month, customers can now find the new 2017/2018 version of MAN TGX trucks at in Brazil the country’s dealerships, with features that make their design even more attractive. The vehicles also add a new lighting system in order to meet current legislation and produce savings for the customer.
The major design changes can be seen in the cabin. On the outside, the grill has been strengthened. The traditional MAN lion symbol is now on a black background to highlight its features and robustness. On the inside, the steering wheel also has a new look, with a change to the logo along the same lines as the front grill panel.
In the 2017/2018 version of MAN trucks, lighter colours make up the interior of the cabin for greater driver comfort. Ivory is the predominant tone of the instrument panel, coverings and doors, as well as the curtains. The changes provide a lighter environment for professionals who spend hours of their day inside the cabin.
Economy in Operation
Another important innovation comes to the lighting system with the incorporation of daytime running lights, known in the market as DRL. They come on alone automatically when the ignition is switched on and fully comply with current regulations.
The mechanism also saves the other vehicle lights since its operation does not involve the rest of the lighting system. Another cost-saving feature is its LED technology, having greater durability than traditional headlights and contributing to lower operating costs.

Premium Configuration
The changes are available on all MAN TGX models and are in line with the European standard for vehicles with Euro 5 technology. Their configuration includes other technical features for greater advantage in operation.
Among them is the powertrain. The MAN D26 delivers high torque over a wide rpm range for the best fuel consumption and lowest maintenance cost, provided also by the 16-speed MAN TipMatic automatic gearbox with very efficient gear shifting.
With one of the largest cabins on the market, the vehicles have axles with the highest technical capabilities in their segment. To support all that load, a robust chassis with greater strength and durability increases reliability of operation for the customer.
